Tracy Bruns - Administrator of The Keystone Nursing Care Center

Tracy Bruns originally from Council Bluffs, Iowa and now residing in Cedar Rapids, Iowa has been the Administrator with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing since 2011. However just like the growing Keystone Nursing Care Center, Tracy as like many others started at the facility and expanded alongside the residents and staff over the years.

In 1998 Tracy obtained her Certified Nursing Assistant (C.N.A) and Medication Aide (C.M.A.) certifications quickly moving up to a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) and started working the second shift at the facility. In 2009 Tracy became a Registered Nurse (RN) and took over as the First shift Charge Nurse position, also acting as the Care Plan Coordinator, and then in 2010 transitioning to the Assistant Director of Nursing and shortly after the Director of Nursing. While working full time, Tracy attending 3 separate colleges in an 8 month period. With this challenge, Tracy earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing as well as her Long Term Care Administrator in 2011 giving Tracy the title of Administrator, RN, BSN.

Along with the experience and education Tracy, along with the staff at the Keystone Nursing Care Center have rocketed the facility into bigger and newer challenges facing everything from modernization, higher and more detailed levels and services of care along with facing the simple challenges that tie in with our motto which is, “Caring for the Lives of Our Seniors.”
